Q: What is the maximum length that the clamp opens to? Some say 4″ some say 3″. And in the rose colored version of this lamp it says 2.4″! Which one is correct?
A: The lamp opens to a max of approx. 2.4 inches. There are just not enough screw threads to make up anything resembling 3 or 4 inches.
Q: I have the old model floor lamp but it has finally quit working after 4 years. Can this piece be attached to the floor length and base that it already?
A: The clamp is made to attach to a horizontal table to. If you have something vertical to attach to, I do not think it will work well unless you really bend the neck. It might rotate to the side under its own weight.
Q: What is the width of the clamp opening?
A: It opens pretty wide. It will mount on most tables.
