Q: What are the height & top diameter of the shade?
A: About 5′ high and maybe 17″ around? I don’t have it to measure as it was way to short and shade too dark for my purposes. Also poorly made and not as pictured by a long shot! I sent it back.
Q: Why do some say its beautiful red/maroon & others say brown? why some saying the shadeis the pictured swirls and some don’t? More than one vendor?
A: The lamp shade is a rusty maroon with beautiful gold swirls. When the lampshade is lit, the color is very vibrant and gorgeous. There may be a latent brown undertone in the dye, but by no means is this lampshade brown. The swirls show wonderfully without being gawdy or in your face. We have gotten dozens of compliments on our whimsical looking lamp and it has been an awesome purchase. I love lamp shades that give off good light but do not show the bulb blatantly through the shade and this lamp holds to my standards well. I have the table top version of this lamp, not the tall standing.
