A: This lamp is made of metal making it very sturdy and stable. I’d guess the lamp weighs a bit over ten pounds.
Q: What is used to weigh down the base? I just threw away a lamp that used concrete coated with plastic for ballast. Didn’t last long.
A: It appears to be just a quite heavy metal base.
