Q: Where is the turn on/off switch?
A: It’s right on the part that the bulb screws into about 1.5 inches above where the wrought iron pole meets the bulb and shade holding part. You have to reach and look up under the shade…it hangs lower than where the switch is.
Q: Would this be a good reading lamp?
A: It works great for me as a reading lamp. The 3-way bulb allows me to easily read using the medium or high setting. I am very happy with this lamp and the matching table lamp. Easy to assemble; looks and works great.
Q: Is the “son lamp” arm flexible?
A: No, the arm is not flexible. The end of the arm that connects to the lamp rotates about 300 degrees and swings 90 degrees from pointing down to pointing horizontal. I keep mine at about 45 degrees pointed from behind at the end of my chaise lounge. I had to slightly bend the decorative iron leaves near the lamp so it could have more range of movement.
Q: What color would you call the shade?
A: Light brown. It’s a cool lamp, pretty unusual. That’s why I bought it.
